This application is for folks interested in presenting a class or organizing an event at Tethered Together 2027.
Our event runs March 12th – 15th, 2027 at the DoubleTree Hilton Stamford Hotel in Stamford, CT. Our event is kink-positive, sex-positive and inclusive of all genders and identities. Our main educational focus is rope bondage, but we are also looking for classes and activities in circus arts, kink topics, relationships, and body movement such as dance and yoga!
Prior to filling out this application: Please be sure you have updated information, your handouts are ready to go, and your descriptions have been closely reviewed.
The deadline for applications is Friday, October 31st by 11:59 PM.
We will notify you by mid December about your application’s status, if not before. If you need to update any of your information or your circumstances change, please let us know by email to [email protected].
If I apply to present, should I still purchase a ticket prior to hearing if I am accepted?
We REALLY prefer that you do not purchase a ticket prior to being selected/not selected to present. If you choose to purchase a ticket prior to getting a teaching spot, you will be refunded within 10 business days from the time you re-register using your presenter discount code. If you do not purchase a ticket, and you end up not being selected to teach, we are happy to provide a discount code for you to register for the event at the regular rate – prior to the event selling out.
Compensation
Tethered Together values the time, expertise, creativity, and labor our presenters bring to the event. For 2027, we are standardizing presenter compensation to make our process more consistent, sustainable, and equitable.
Presenters selected to teach at Tethered Together receive:
• Complimentary admission to Tethered Together
• $75 per scheduled class
Presenters teaching four or more classes may also be offered a lodging credit equivalent to 1.5 hotel room nights at the Tethered Together host hotel.
Presenters may choose to share a room with another presenter and combine lodging credits, which may allow their shared room to be fully covered depending on the length of stay and applicable hotel rate.
Travel Assistance:
Tethered Together has a limited travel budget. Travel assistance, including airfare, may be offered to select invited presenters based on the needs of the year’s programming and available event budget.
Travel assistance is not automatically included with presenter acceptance and must be agreed upon with Tethered Together in advance.
Number of Classes
Most presenters will be scheduled for 1–4 classes. Additional classes may be offered by mutual agreement based on programming needs.
Final class assignments, compensation, lodging assistance, and any travel arrangements will be confirmed with presenters before they commit to the event.
We know that presenting at an event involves much more than the time spent in the classroom, and we deeply appreciate the people who choose to share their knowledge and skills with the Tethered Together community.
